Minimum required qualification: B.Sc. degree with Physics/ Mathematics as the main subject with 55% marks. Those with Mathematics as the main subject should have studied Physics as one of the subsidiaries and vice-versa.

Programme Outcomes (PO):

  1. Bridging the knowledge of basic sciences and technologies to understand various natural phenomena.

  1. Identifying, formulating and analysing research problems.

  2. Developing analytical and computational skills to address challenges in environmental issues

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO):

  1. Attain knowledge in the areas of ocean dynamics, ocean remote sensing, air-sea interaction, coastal processes, ocean modelling and climate sciences.
  2. Develop proficiency in data acquisition, analysis and visualisation using computer programming and data analytics softwares.
  3. Design and execute scientific projects in advanced multi-disciplinary topics of oceanography and publication of its output.
  4. Develop scientific skills to address ocean-related natural hazards and climate change.
